As November comes around, students are preparing for their last month of classes before exams. This year’s Day of Giving was a huge success, with more than 900 donors stepping up to the cause. Here are the results: $235,866 raised 942 Donors and 1062 Gifts

Three Catawba College graduates will receive 2020 Black Alumni Pioneer Awards on November 7th during Homecoming Weekend. The award is given to alumni consider to be pioneers for fellow African Americans. This year’s recipients are: The Rev. Larry S. Bullock ’69, Ike Hill ’70, and Dwight C. Durante ’74.

Five biology students won awards through the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities program. Winners were Justin Leonard, Candace Swepson, Abigail Walters, Jasmine Wiitala, and Oryan Malul.

Kristina Rogge '21 has joined Salisbury Academy as sustainability coordinator intern and will be assisting in the school's environmental initiatives for 2020-21. Rogge is an Environment and Sustainability major, as well as a Communication and Marketing minor.

Bryan Blanton will be returning to Catawba to finish his degree after being drafted by the New York Yankees his junior year in 2017. Bryan will be finishing his degree in Sport Management.
