June 2020

This June, we welcome a new type of summer. A summer filled with lots of video chats, zoom parties, and social distancing. Times are strange but Catawba College continues to advance in preparation for the new Class of 2024 and our returning students. In the summer months, we have many virtual events where alums can reconnect with a past coach, a past professor, or maybe a past mentor. Be on the look out for emails to register and relive your favorite memories or life lessons with Deans, Coaches, and Faculty!

We also welcome our newest alumni members, CLASS OF 2020!! We are excited to see how this group of determined alums are going to change the world. Unprecedented times call for extraordinary, bright minded graduates to go out and be the change they want to see. See what their plans are below:

Take a look at the MIND, BODY, SOUL pages on our campaign website to view which priorities have been funded so far and which ones are on their way to reaching completion!

Work is continuing on installing an artificial turn field at Shuford Stadium. This was funded by designated gifts and will benefit all sports teams on campus. This will make Kirkland Field the only turf field in Rowan County. This project will wrap up this summer and serve as a community multi-use field. A mixture of sand and BrockFILL will be used to continue our commitment to the environment.

Watch a video of construction of the field.
