Dustin Chapman ’19 – Released his FIRST music video for his single “Slow Dance” on June 30th! The song has been added to over 100 radio stations internationally and has received great reviews from the music industry personnel. Check out the video below:

Marvin Moore ‘99 – Named the New Principal for Salisbury High School! Marvin was also the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award, and was also inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame.

The Catawba College Development Office recently earned an award from the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) based on the many areas of success in which the Mind Body Soul Campaign has seen positive results. Read more about the award and updates on the Mind Body Soul campaign:

Dr. Andrew Jacobson, Professor of GIS and Conservation in Catawba’s Department of Environment and Sustainability, has been working as the senior author of an international study led by the National Geographic Society and the University of California, Davis. This study states that roughly half of the Earth’s ice-free land remains without significant human influence.

Recently, members of the Baseball, Track and Cross-Country teams were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America. From baseball, Hunter Shepherd ‘20 and Jackson Raper ‘20 earned the honor of Academic All Americans. From Cross Country and Track, Hannah Mercer ’20 and Tom Joyce ’19 earned spots on the Academic All-District Team as well.
