Interim President Dr. Ken Clapp shares an important message for the Catawba community about what Catawba's future holds:

GAP FUND
Though we are fortunate to have support with financial funding from the CARES Act and from the NC Legislature, these funds have certain limits and parameters to support specific students in specific ways. We want to ensure that students can return to campus in the Fall without fear of financial hardship. You can be a part of these efforts by contributing to the Gaining Access Program Fund. These funds will help current juniors, sophomores, freshman and the incoming Class of 2024 with making a direct impact on their tuition scholarships. We anticipate that as we learn the full extent of our students’ needs even more financial support will be required. You can help change that TODAY!

"I want to thank you for your donation. I’m a first generation college student so you are making it possible for me to live out my dreams here at Catawba College. Thank you!" – Catawba Class of 2022 Student

"I always knew the importance of a good education and wanted to pursue it, but my family was uncertain of our ability to cover the costs. I am reminded of how blessed I am to attend Catawba College daily, and your generous gift provides for my lifelong dream of becoming an educator every day." – Catawba Class of 2023 Student

The Catawba family responds when faced with adversity. Thank you for being an important part of the Family. We might not know what lies ahead, but we do know that when our Catawba Family comes together and rally behind our students, we will emerge even stronger.

Work has finally begun on installing an artificial turf field at Shuford Stadium. This was funded by designated gifts and will benefit all sports teams on campus. This will make Kirkland Field the only turf field in Rowan County. This project will wrap up this summer and serve as a community multi-use field. A mixture of sand and BrockFILL will be used to continue our commitment to the environment.

Watch a video of the construction of the field.
