Mollie Sue Harmon ’18 received the Robert McCormick Figg, Jr. Trial Advocacy Award presented by the South Carolina Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The award is given for excellence in trial advocacy skills and professional demeanor as demonstrated in the classroom or in trial competitions. Congrats Molly Sue!

Pastor Michelle Kuhlman has been installed as the new lead pastor of Advent Lutheran Church. Kuhlman was ordained in 2005.

The inaugural class of MBA graduates completed their course requirements this month! "We are incredibly proud of this first class of MBA graduates," stated Dr. Eric R. Hake, graduate advisor and program coordinator.

The renovation plans of Newman Park have been updated. A structural engineer discovered that the metal grandstand supports and roof would require a complete replacement to ensure the safety to attendees. Read more on the decision and the progress so far below:

Catawba’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda had six students qualify for the national competition, with two students placing in the National Awards Program. The students competing were Emma Nantz, Samual Granillo, Madison Bumgarner, Harmony Speer, Jordan Brooks, and Jacob Aiton.

Handshake is an online portal where employers hire college students and new grads. Handshake can continue to provide you with professional development information and career opportunities beyond college. Catawba maintains a relationship with Handshake for our students after they graduate. Handshake can also be used after graduation, and Catawba will maintain your Handshake profile for as long as you wish to use the service.
