Catawba Spirit Band
Catawba Spirit, the College’s marching band, entertains audiences at football and basketball games.
Membership is open to students from all academic disciplines through auditions and interviews held by the Director of the Band. Activities include performing half time shows, and displaying school spirit during games.
This outdoor ensemble incorporates the same instruments as any marching band ensemble, including the front ensemble. It incorporates many different styles of music within its repertoire to realize optimal musical and entertainment effects. Participants for this ensemble are full-time Catawba students, regardless of major. The band is fully-equipped and staffed for 75 members.
Participation in the Catawba Spirit provides each student with an instrument, uniform, and talent scholarship (stipend) in addition to other possible scholarships.

$3,000 Scholarship for Full Participation
