Dr. Christina Azmy joined Catawba College's Teacher Education program in August of 2019. Dr. Azmy earned her PhD in Mathematics and Statistics Education from NC State University. She is passionate about preparing the next generation of mathematics teachers to teach a subject many students have learned to fear. Her research is focused particularly on statistics education and developing teacher self-efficacy to teach statistics. She also has experience in applying best practices for online education and preparing prospective teachers to teach mathematics and statistics using technology.
